Wallflowers is an ongoing series of quick daily sketches; exercises in practicing creating something out of nothing. Fickle, apprehensive and installed in inconspicuous places, they yearn to stay present while actively avoid being in the limelight. The work speaks of a constant hesitance in art making - always uncertain yet embodying an urge to push on in hopes that a spark can become something more, despite knowing for a fact that it just might amount to nothing.
