Tessellations
2026

Tessellations is a series of four sculptural assemblages structured as a quadriptych. In poetry, a quadriptych refers to a specific structural form where a four-stanza poem tells a cohesive story, often linked by repeating the last line of one stanza as the first line of the next.

In this series, each sculpture presents a distinct voice and form while retaining a recurring ceramic object made by the artist that is seen across the four works. As the recurring object migrates across compositions of found materials, it demonstrates an object’s malleable nature in embodying a variety of personalities, moods and atmospheres.

Instruments for gentle ambivalence
2026

Instruments for gentle ambivalence is a series of four sculptural assemblages that consist of incomplete furniture parts, found household objects and ceramic forms. While existing as standalone compositions, the works are bound by common elements that negotiate a continuous, four-way conversation across the gallery floor.

Exhibited alongside Tessellations (2026) and extending the lineage of literary form references, these works mimic concrete poetry, wherein the primary meaning of a poem (or sculpture) is conveyed through the visual arrangement of words (or objects) rather than traditional rhyme or reason. Through their unsound harmony, they evoke sensations of estrangement within a logic that is entirely poetical and impractical.
