Installation view: Dust at 'Reiterated Spaces', 2015, Goodman Arts Center, Singapore
Dust is a visual contemplation of the thoughts and actions that I chose to abandon in the past, in hope that such choices would promise something else far greater. The moment the human mind chooses to let go of these intangible things,
they immediately dissipate into nothingness. They cease to exist; more painfully, they cease to matter.
In this series, I allowed myself to be lost in my surroundings, mindlessly photographing anything that seemed to trap dust. Physical dust acts as a metaphor for the things we never bothered to make time for amidst our hustle.
They remain enclosed, entrapped in a time we no longer can embrace.
